B is for Blessing.

Hello my friends, (is anybody there?) I just noticed I am not having too many visitors lately, is it because of Spring break? :), I hope someone there is enjoying my creations, if I can make just 1 happy, that makes me happy  :). Anyway, tonight I have a baby card for you. Actually I am combining 3 challenges is 1. I got the sketch from one of my favorite blogs 2S4U, the colors combo + stitching comes from Embellish Magazine and "Mount Up" Challenge over at Stampin' Sisters in Christ.

I started my card base with Kraft CS, I overlapped Innocent Pink and Ocean Mist CS. I added a piece of embossed Ocean Mist CS (Swiss Dots) and a piece of border punch (SunBurst). I added straight stitches around. I stamp the bear 3 times and I mounted up, it was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. I also added some MS ribbon around and some Pearls.

Card Recipe:
Card Stock: Kraft, Ocean Mist, Innocent Pink, White PL (All Gina K. Designs)
Stamps: Oh Baby (Gina K. Designs)
Ink: Rich Cocoa (Memento), Bahama Blue (Memento), Prismacolor Pencils.
Embellishments: Mountain Lake Ribbon (Martha Stewart), Pearls.
Accessories: Sewing machine, white thread, Sunburst Border Punch (Fiskars), OMS, Swiss Dots folder, Cuttlebug, Foam tape.

Hope you like it.
Have a great night.

Now & Forever

Hello my friends, Hope you are having a great day. Wedding season just started, in fact I have been invited to attend a wedding on April 10th. I love wedding, they are so romantic and fun at the same time. So, being in the wedding spirit I created these cards. They are CAS, easy to make and mass produce too. I used "Now & Forever Set" from smARTworks. I really love this penguin couple, aren't they adorable?? To make the images pop I used Black Embossing powder  and heat embossing gun, it looks much better than just a black ink, {personal opinion}, I also used Gold Embossing powder.

Card #1:

Card #2:

Card #3: Using Gold Embossing powder.

Hope you like them.
If you have any question about these cards, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Have a great day/night.

Thinking Pink.

Hello my friends, today I have a couple of "pink cards". Do you love pink? I do!! This week I found a lot of inspiration in blogland, one of them was Heather Scott at Oz-somestamps. I love her sketches and her video tutorials, so this week I decided to play her sketch and her Modified Retiform Technique.
Shall we start?

Heather's Sketch: I made a baby card, to be honest I struggled with the sketch, I don't know if I really like this card, maybe because I like to add a lot of layers and use my sewing machine, but at the end I convinced myself the card is pretty :)
The images I used are from "Oh Baby" by Gina K. Designs. The white shape was made using my Cricut machine and "A Child's year" cartridge.

Card Recipe:
Card Stock: Pure Luxury White, Lemon Drop, Innocent Pink (All Gina K.)
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Real Red.

Modified Retiform Technique: I really like this card, :) For the technique I used Pretty in Pink (SU) and Desert Sand (Memento Ink). I followed the video step by step, it is very easy!! For the BG I used smARTworks stamps: "Stella" and "Weave" . The sentiment is from "Inside & Out" by Gina K. Designs. The scallop shape was cut using my Cricut Machine and "A child's year" cartridge. I added some Satin ribbon and tiny pearls.
I played the sketch challenge from Paper Crafts Connection Blog

Happy Birthday

Hello my friends, sorry for my lack of posts, my week off at work is gone and now I am back into the swing of working, homeschooling and house stuff. DD is practicing soccer again and also she is in other activities, so my afternoons that used to be kind of quiet are busy again, but that is OK, I have a card for you today {wink, wink}.
I made this card few days ago following "A Year in Cards" tutorial I found on Kristina Werner's blog. She has awesome tutorials and her cards are always so much fun!
The tutorial shows 3 different cards, but I just made 1, maybe later I will make the rest :)
I used smARTworks stamps, the inside is the pocket for a pair of earrings I bought to send to my sister!! I hope she likes this card.

Inside:

Have a great day!!

Just a note about...

the crochet flowers I showed you yesterday. I am a "super really beginner" and I have not idea how to create a pattern, the only thing I did was to follow a Video Tutorial I found on YouTube. I hope this video helps you. I am in the mood of making more flowers, maybe I will sell some, of course I am not a crochet machine, LOL. I wish I could.

Have a great day!!

Tuesday, March 9

Check this out!

Hello my friends, I don't have a card for you today (yet), but I want to show something I've been working on. If you follow my blog, you may know DD's birthday party is coming soon, so I decided that instead of lots of candy for the party favor I wanted to include something the little girls could use. So I decided to make some flower barrets !! I have spent like 3 nights making the flowers and yesterday I glued them and decorated them.
I haven't finished the party favor for 3 of the girls that are a little bit older.

PS:The embroidery floss I used is from Brazil and Peru. I used to do a lot of cross stitch and I have tons of embroidery!!
Hope you like them!!

Sunday, March 7

Joy.

Hello my friends. I hope you are having a great Sunday. I have been kind of busy today, but after cleaning and organizing stuff, I decided to take a break and make a card! Woo-hoo!! Today I am playing the SPCC challenge, this week colors have been a little hard for me, I have tried all week to make a card with these colors, sat down, move papers around and at the end I gave up, but today I decided no more giving up, so I just played with my paper again and I think I got a good card.
My card base is So Saffron, the blue part is Night of Navy. I matted a piece of Pumpkin Pie and some Patterned Paper I have in my scrap pile. I stamped the praying hands in White CS using Memento Rich Cocoa. I matted this piece with some Pumpkin Pie as well. I added some Blue Ribbon and a button (just the same color as Brilliant Blue!
The sentiment was stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa.
Images are from smARTworks "Prayer Set"

Hope you like it.
Have a great day/night.

Happy Birthday JonBoy!

Hello my friends, Are you enjoying your Saturday? Here is really pretty, sunny, kind of warm, it looks like Spring!! Today, DD has a Birthday party, her good friend JonBoy is turning 7 and is having a Lego party, so I decided to make a Lego card, it is very easy and simple and I hope he likes it.
The pieces of CS are 1"x1", 1.5" x 1" and 2" x 1". I punched little circles and adhered then in the middle.
For this card I used little scrap pieces of CS, perfect for this kind of project!!
The ABC stamps are from Studio G.

I hope I can get some stamping time this week, I will be working this week after a week off, also I am preparing all the little things for my daughter's Princess Birthday Party, who knows what else this week bring.
Hope you have a wonderful day!!
God bless you all.
