Happy Birthday

Hello again my friends. I have a Birthday card for you today. I got inspired by a baby horse who was born today. It's not my horse, it is my neighbors' and it is super cute, in fact they have 2 baby horses and 1 mama is due in a week, so more babies around here. :) Today, DD and I went to visit the horses. They were so calm and relax, the only one excited was the dog, I think he stopped barking because he got tired of it, LOL.

Anyway, for my card I used the colors from Lee's Color Challenge: Turquoise Sea, Lemon Drop and a Neutral (challenge at Stamp TV) and the sketch comes from 2S4U . Also submitting this for "Stitching Challenge" at Lucy's Cards Blog.
The lace on my card is made by me, I added some turquoise satin ribbon and the Prima flowers match the Lemon Drop CS perfectly.
The stamp set I used is "Inside & Out" from Gina K.

Card recipe:
Card Stock: Textured Turquoise (DCWV), Lemon Drop (Gina K), White (Gina K)
Paper: Out & About Collection (My Mind's Eye)
Stamps: Inside & Out (Gina K. Designs)
Ink: Espresso Adirondack (Ranger), Tea Dye Distress (Ranger)
Embellishments: Crochet Lace, Turquoise Satin Ribbon (Offray), Prima flowers, Gold Brad (Making Memories)
Accessories: Sewing machine, White thread, Foam tape, Scor-tape, daubers.

Hope you like it.
Have a great day!

And the winner is:

Other little crafts I've made.

Hello my friends. I hope you are having a great Monday. I am sore, LOL, I am back in the swing of work-out routine and goodness my whole body hurts. In addition of that we are starting our "garden project" and it's a lot of land to clean and rocks to removed. So that's why I don't have any cards "yet", but I want to share a couple of crochet project I've done in the last couple of weeks.
I made a couple of headbands, one for my daughter and one for Miss E. They are simple white bands and they looks so cute on them.

Hope you like it. I will be back later with some card projects for you.
Have a great day!

Find the wonder and a rainbow!

Hello my friends! Hope you are having a wonderful day. Today my day started with a beautiful rainbow. to be honest I was feeling down, tired and sleepy, but then when I was doing some early dishes I saw a very bright light coming from the backyard, to my surprise it was a lovely tall and thin rainbow. Oh! my spirit brights and my day has been so great so far. Then after a little over an hour after the first rainbow, my daughter told me it was another one!! it was small and wide and beautiful as well.

Anyway, I have a bright card for you. I just found another blog challenge "The Play Date Cafe", its has a "Color Splash Challenge" : Black, White and Orange.

I used the border frame and  started sponging inside using Memento Tangelo Ink. I stamped the flower in Black and White; I really wanted to create a 3D effect, I think I need to practice more about this technique.
I added a couple of Pearls and some ribbon at the bottom using staples.

Challenge cards! and a serious conversation.

Hello my friends and happy Saturday! Today it was a busy day, but great at the same time. My daughter had a soccer game this afternoon and she and her team had a great game (even though her team didn't win). The funny thing is I was sitting on the ground cheering up the team and a little boy was talking to me. He told me he liked his team and his school teacher
So, our conversation went like this:

Me: So, what's your teacher name?
Dylan: Teacher.
Me: Ok,... she must have a name, right?
Dylan: Shis name is teacher of the kids! (He said Shis, :)
Me: Great! You must love her a lot.
Dylan: My teacher is good :)

I smiled, looked at him and said, you are funny. He saw me taking pictures, so he wanted a picture too and I did. Then, he told he wanted to go into the field and play because Rebecca was there, PLOP! I think he didn't know Becca's is my daughter. He whispered to me and said, She is nice!! After the game, we had a potluck and he just wanted to be with Becca, he sat next to her and played to her in the playground, even when he left, he told Becca, "I am leaving, Bye Becca" I was surprised!! Aren't kids sweet, well, it's sweet now they are little, LOL.

Becca and Dylan eating together :)

Anyway, I have 2 cards for you today.

I am having a better day today, you may not known, but I have been having really bad sinus problems, believe me really bad, fever, headache, earache, tiredness, you name it, I have it. But today is a new day and it is beautiful here, sunny and warm (66F), the perfect temperature to do some yard work, LOL. I mowed half of my yard because the mower run out of gas :), I sat on the fresh grass and drank some cold water and enjoyed time talking to my daughter. I feel much better and I am planning on having a good stamping time today. I haven't stamped in days ( you know why) and even though my desk needs to be cleaned, I am planning to ink my fingers today :)

Anyway, today is time for another Cookie Challenge (the last one) and Susan challenged the DT to create a card using Watch Parts Set. I created a CAS card. I used Kraft CS, sponged borders  and stamped the watch. The number area was cut with Circle Nestabilities and adhered with Foam Tape. I added a Silver brad in the center and also some Pearls in the right corner.

Card recipe:
Card Stock: Kraft (SU)
Ink: Rich Cocoa (Memento), Ginger (Adirondack)for sponging.

Gina K. Illustrator Blog Challenge.

Hello my friends, How are you today? I hope you are having a great day. This morning I spent some time creating cards for Gina K. Illustrators Challenge, this time getting inspired by your favorite childhood books. I grew up with some traditional Latin American Stories, sadly I don't have any of those books here, so I asked my daughter to tell me some of her favorite books and she brought to me a lot ! LOL. So I basically got inspired by colors. It was perfect because I bought one set from the last release party "Fairy Tales" Set that have worked out perfectly with my designs.

Here are the card I created. All the materials I used are from Gina K.

Once in a while...: I got inspired by What Willie Wore Book.

You Shine: I got inspired by the colors of The Story of the Easter Bunny

Make a Wish: Inspired by the book An Angel of my Own

You Shine "Crown" Inspired by the book Once Upon a Time

Hope you like my cards. I will add the card recipes later. Thanks!
Have a great night!

Saturday, April 10

Congratulations.

Hello my friends, how is Saturday going? Mine was busy, but now I am relaxing and getting some crafty time, but before of that I want to show you a card I made for a Wedding today. I cut a slightly smaller piece and used Textile Folder, sponged borders, then a strip  of CS was also embossed using Swiss Dots. I attached ribbon around and adhered to card. Finally I stamped the sentiment in Rich Cocoa and added some pearls. I am submitting this card to Stampin' Sisters in Christ Love challenge.
