Frosty Friends

Hello friends!! Hope you all are having a great Monday! I decided to take the weekend off and have fun with the family, we went to the river Friday and Saturday, we had a lot of fun, boating, tubing, and enjoying the hot weather, I am so "toasty" my back and shoulders hurt yesterday, but I am doing so much better today, with that being said, I am a little behind posting projects here, so I will catch up pretty soon ;)

Today, let me show you a cute Christmas card using "Frosty Friends" image from Great Impressions Stamps. Aren't they cute? We are all thinking Christmas, right?

I also used the Deconstructed Sketch 111 as my inspiration.

Details:
The image was colored with Copic markers and die-cut and embossed with Circle Nestabilities. I die-cut  a piece of patterned Paper then added a lot of stitches. I cut out a couple of numbers from patterned paper and added them to an ivory banner, then added a green button and copper tinsel.
I added little dots of Liquid Pearl to the heat and scarf to the snowmen.
Paper used are from "Times & Season" by Echo Park Paper.

Now, did you know you can win this stamp? go HERE and answer a very simple question and this cute image can be yours!!

  • Die set includes 4 dies
  • Designed by Korin Sutherland
  • Priced at $16.75
  • Coordinates with Vintage Ornaments stamp set

  • CIJ2

Here are the projects I made with this set and coordinated dies.

This card is pretty CAS, the base is a Gold Cardstock, scored each side at 1/4". The panel is 4.5" x 3.15", embossed and added some zig zag stitches. Die-cut ornament and stamped in versamark ink and gold heat embossed. The sentiment was stamped in Coffee Archival. Added a copper tinsel bow.

For this second card, I stamped the ornaments in Versamark ink and added clear embossing powder and heat set. Then applied a good coat of Gold Gelatos and rubbed it with a sponge, after that I inked all the edges with Vintage Photo Distress. Cut out a piece to create a window and added a piece of red CS with the sentiment stamped and heat embossed in white. Die-cut a border lace and painted it with carmine 3D paint. Die-cut and stamped and ornament in Olive Archival. Finally, I added pearls.

  • Die set includes 1 die
  • Designed by Korin Sutherland
  • Priced at $10.50
  • Coordinates with Poinsettia stamp set

  • CIJ5

Here is the project I made with the Poinsettia stamp set and new die, this is a glassine bag, I thought it could be a good idea to pass your Christmas cards in a pretty bag, or maybe a Gift Card or something special :)
The picture doesn't make justice, this poinsettia is really pretty in real look. I first die-cut it in watercolor paper, stamped it in Jet Black Archival and colored it with Inktense Pencils. Then covered the poinsettia with Crystal Lacquer and sprinkled little bit og glitter
TIP: It's better if you use your finger tips to sprinkle the glitter. Let it dry for at least 1 hour.
I wrapped Patterned paper, added decorative lace borders and ribbon.

    Dove of Peace

Hello friends!! Hope you are having a fantastic Monday!! I am back in my craft room after having a relaxed weekend!! Last Saturday was my Anniversary, 11 years of marriage! My husband thought that it could be fun to take me to the Craft Mall!! I had so much fun, he was so patient, I walked and walked and he just followed me, LOL. After that we went to P.F.Chang's for dinner, it was our first time there (we don't have one in town, we travel 80 miles to get there), they treated us so nice!

Anyway, did I mention the weather  was HOT, HOT, HOT!! Oh goodness, the funny thing is that in our way back home one of those digital thermometers indicated 136F, we just laughed so hard!! but seriously felt like that.

Ok, back to craft talk {wink, wink}. I have a Christmas card!! Hey, never to early to start talking about Christmas.
This is a very cute image from Great Impressions called "Dove of Peace". I just tried a very CAS style, I heat embossed the image using Gold embossing powder, the embossing folder is from Stampin' Up, matted the Ivory panel on Gold cardstock and added pearls!! Very easy and fast creation.

    SNS-13-025MajesticMonarchs

  • Stamp set includes 6 images & 3 sentiments
  • Set measures approximately 4" x 6"
  • The largest butterfly measures approximately 2 1/2" x 1 3/4"
  • Designed by Korin Sutherland
  • Priced at $15

  • I made 2 cards using this set. Both are pretty easy, so here are the details.

First card. I started spraying a piece of White cardstock with yellow and red sprays (Studio Calico), then stamped the butterflies in Jet Black Archival ink and cut them out. I mounted 2 butterflies here to give it more dimension. Then I die-cut a decorative frame shape, stamped the largest butterfly in Jet Black Archival Ink and added the monted one. Stamped the sentiment on a piece of Kraft Cardstock, added a white doily and the decorative frame. After that I paper pierced the corners and added a little rhinestone to butterfly.

For this card, first I stamped the butterflies on a piece of Kraft Cardstock and instead of ink I used "Gesso", I saw this technique on Kim's blog and decided to give it a try, since I didn't have Distress Paints, I used Distress Inks, and added spray mists as well. I die-cut a lace border in white and painted it with Moss 3D paint. Added twine and a button. Finally added this panel on an Ivory card base.
