Dream

Hello friends! Hope you all are having a great day. I want to share with you an easy tutorial using Ken Oliver Craft products. Yes, Ken Oliver has also a line of stamps and beautiful patterned papers in addition of the famous Color Burst!!

Let's get started:

  • Cut watercolor panels size 3.5" x 4.75",mist them with water and tap a little bit of Color Burst:SepiaIndigoMerlot and Yellow Ochre. Mist more water is desired.

  • Create a mask using the pretty butterfly from  Studio Collection Set 1, I wanted to overlap the butterflies without touching each other, that's why I wanted a mask, but you can stamp the butterflies on top of each.

Finally add sequins and rhinestones. Here are the cards.

The smallest things warm the heart

Hello friends! How are you doing today? How is the weather in you side of the hood? Around here we got more snow, foggy, rainy and cold, not the best combo! In honor of snow and next month Valentine season, I have this super cute card.
My friend and "seester" (I know, I know it is not a real word, but that's our signature) Lee Ann, who by the way has an amazing blog, sent me this cut set "Owl Bundle Up" by Unity Stamps last month and until now I had the chance to inky up.

This card is super simple, here are the details:
  • Make a card base from White Cardstock, mist front side with Firework Angel Pink and Rhubarb Stalk Sprays, set aside to dry.
  • Stamp the owl on a piece of Watercolor Paper in Versaamrk Waternark Ink, add White embossing powder and heat set.
  • Color image with Color Burst, Here I used: Alizarin Crimson, Sepia and Yellow Ochre. The colors were mixed with water in a container (TIP: I use a plastic ice cube container, I paid 0.25 cents in a yard sale, deal!!!) then take as much or little as you need.
  • Die-cut image with Circle Dies.
  • Die-cut a heart in red cardstock, stamp sentiment in Versamark Watermark, add white embossing powder and heat set.
  • Add pieces to card base. Embellish card with sequins and twine.

Hello friend + Art

Hello friends! here today, presenting you a couple of projects I created with my new (yes, I finally was able to use them) Color Burst! I have to say that I love, love, love the Sepia one, oh boy, it is delicious! LOL.

I applied 4 colors of Color Burst: Sepia, Merlot, Yellow Ochre and Ultramarine Blue on a piece of watercolor paper, mist water and let the Color Burst do the magic!!
After the piece dried, I cut it in 4 pieces (2 more pieces to show later)

For this first card I stamped the flower from Watercolored Memories Collection Set 1 in Versamark Ink and applied Gold Embossing powder and heat set. Cut the panel to 3.75" x 5" and adhere it to a white card base (A2 size). Die-cut the hello friend in white cardstock (x2), used the Stick it to stick the dies together, then applied to card base. A little strip of teal cardstock and few sequins and the card was done.

For this second card I used the star, art, butterfly and numbers (BG stamping) from  Studio Collection Set 1, the star and art were stamped in Turquoise Ink and the little swirls are from Watercolored Memories Collection Set 2 and stamped in Lamp Black Ink . I added a red pearl in the middle of the star and adhere the panel on a A2 white card base.

You are not Alone

Hello friends!! This is my 1st official post for 2016! I have a lot of plans and one of them is to be more organized, I don't think I can blog everyday (I will try), but at least 3 times per week sounds more reasonable, plus I want to make videos, we'll see how that goes.

Anyway, I want to show you a card I created for Latina Crafter and the monthly challenge we have at the Latina Crafter blog, you are welcome to participate too, you don't need to use their products, just follow the sketch and/or twist and you are good!

This month I followed the twist, I just love the colors, so pretty!!

This is the card I created, here are the steps:
